The dim-sims are in cute little baskets that unfortunately only hold one dumpling at a  time . There are also other treats such as fluffy pork buns, egg tarts, and the obligatory spring rolls. During the day, the spacious room is already lovely, but at night-time it’s borderline opulent with its high ceilings, wall to wall windows, and plush couches.
Flavours were nice but I would have preferred the Hainanese Chicken served at Burwood. I would rather go to those 2 over china bar, even if they are double the price. However, service absolutely burwood hotpot sucks in buffets over there even with tipping up front at buffets. Service at Melba and Conservatory is much better since they're not ridiculously understaffed unlike Bacchanal or others.

This is reflective of all the food being served at this restaurant. Other desserts arrived, including fruit platters and deep fried Chinese milk dough. We loved the fit out and shared a meal in good company.
They also cramb tables in and are understaffed, leading to terrible service and attitude. Not all buffets are about pigging out and eating as much as possible. Agreed, Melba and Conservatory are in a totally different league to china bar. I didn't go to Bacchanal, but looking at the photos of the food it's definitely on my list to try next time, looks like they have some really delicious and unique items.

As opposed to fluffy sponge, lashings of cream, and large plump cherries, this was dense, sweet… and not much else. One section that’s exclusive to the CBD is the cheese section.
