I've had my hair braided before and I understand that a reasonable amount of tenderness is to be expected, but this was unbearable and I could not make sense of dealing with the pain and possible damage to my hair and scalp. The owner- Alima and the braider- Maria didn't seem to care much. I did notice about 3 of their customers appeared to already have traction alopecia....this explains why.
Cons- general customer service skills need work. They don't seem to have a concern for the health of your hair or scalp. I repeatedly told my braider that she was applying the hair too tight, she was braiding too tight, and she was applying too much pressure onto my head as she was braiding. It got to the point that I had to hold each individual braid as she was braiding them in order to relieve some of the tension as she was pulling and braiding to an already too tightly applied extension.

I called the owner,Tida and told her I would be stopping by her shop to show her. I took down my hair for her to see it and she simply told me that there was nothing they would be willing to do because I would have needed to request that they braided past my hair up front. She stated that next time just tell them and they will do it. I told her that that should not be something you have to request, that it should be done anyway, that's just common sense . I informed her that she just lost a customer.
