At Astra Early Learning we have four beautiful, light filled classrooms and a sleep room for our youngest children to rest throughout the day. Our sustainability initiatives include maintaining a vegetable and herb garden, using the harvest in our menu, and creating upcycled furniture from recycled materials. We also incorporate recycled materials for art and craft projects, make natural air fresheners from plants, and teach children to water the garden with excess water from their cups and bottles. Coming from a multicultural background, I understand the importance of celebrating and embedding all cultural aspects into our service, cementing their sense of belonging in their environment.
