We offer ‘pastoral counselling’ for those who have a Christian faith and ‘community counselling’ for people of any other faith or of no faith. This distinctive approach reflects how we fully respect each person’s values and beliefs. Our hope, and aim, is to help each person find a better life, whatever their starting point may be.
Couples counselling can help you understand yourself and your partner better. This will make it easier to interact positively with one another. We offer relationship counselling and psychotherapy appointments at our locations in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick and Birmingham. couples counselling If you are currently in a relationship you may decide to come to the sessions with your partner, or on your own. To apply for a placement you will already have a Level 4 diploma or a higher qualification in  a relevant area of counselling or psychotherapy and have completed 100 hours of clinically supervised practice. Depression can often be sparked by a major life change such as separation, bereavement, retirement, illness or trauma. If you are feeling the effects of depression then our counselling services can provide you with the support you need. A separation can be very difficult to navigate and families often face functional disputes over contact and living arrangements, child maintenance, property and money.
They can provide an accurate diagnosis and determine the severity of your anxiety. Your GP will also help you find out more about support services available and, if necessary, prescribe medication. For example, they may help you learn to communicate differently, but what they will not do is give advice about life issues, or solve your problems. My style of Counselling is Pluralistic, which means that I tailor each session to an individual's needs. I am based at a historic and picturesque building on Weston Road, Stafford I offer a free 20 minute consultation with no obligation to use the service thereafter. I have always had a passion for listening and helping others.
I work with clients of all ages for a varied range of issues and have been contracted by Forward Thinking Birmingham at Open Door for almost 11 years. I have worked all over Birmingham in many schools visiting clients. I am currently working weekly at King Edwards High School and at Heartlands Academy. Using the person centred approach helps my clients feel accepted and heard no matter what issue they bring. Our Connect Facebook groups are a supportive space for people with sight loss, their family and friends, and carers to talk to others in a similar situation, ask questions and share tips and stories. Couples attending this service are offered up to five sessions with a therapist to explore how the current situation is affecting them and their relationship. Women’s Aid is a grassroots federation working together to provide life-saving services in England and build a future where domestic abuse is not tolerated.

The programme offers the chance to rediscover yourself, your partner, and a loving relationship in your marriage. We can offer support to clients in accessing other services, as required. It is important that clients decide what to talk about in sessions and set the agenda. Your therapist will help you to reflect on your experiences, thoughts and feelings to support you to identify ways of managing and changing the things that are important to you. They are also registered with a professional counselling body, such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy , and they adhere to professional codes of ethics.
