Another tip is, always take a card from your hotel so that if you need to take a taxi back, it will have the address in Chinese so you just show it to the driver. I think if that's the case, will stay near the main station, as there will be good train connection between the HSR station and main station, which should be easier with suitcases. It is about $35 aussie and you get unlimited hotpot for 2 hours.
So on the way back we staked out the area and promptly found half-dozen Tanna Fruit-Doves of which several allowed great scope studies. Red-bellied Fruit Doves and Pacific Imperial-Pigeons were also in the 台東地瓜酥 area, finishing an exciting and productive last day. Meanwhile, others watched the competitive soccer match that unfolded in front of them in the large sports field, organised by our onboard chef, Connor.

Will probably have to take some driven tours, as one person has doesn't like walking for far or long. Balances on Easy cards can be refunded but you have to surrender it and you wont get the $100 TWD you paid at the start, so only use it if you are not coming back and its your final trip. My plan is to travel Taiwan but obviously i am a little short on time. I won't spend any time in Taipei but i have to catch a flight there.
Soon we were traversing the interior of the island to visit Noipe Village. The surprise warrior attack proved to be quite comical as warriors spent more time smiling and laughing rather than playing the role of the ferocious attacker. Following the national anthem and welcome speeches by village elders, Chris gave a heartfelt tribute to the villages in Maori, on behalf of theSpirit of Enderbytribe. We were ushered to the dance arena, where village leaders and chiefs circled the traditional dance pole and showcased their prized red feather money. Feather money is used in Santa Cruz as a form of currency and is predominately used for settling important obligations in both bridal wealth, mortuary celebrations and compensation payments .

Enjoy four nights’ accommodation in 5-star hotels with daily breakfasts included; your guide can make recommendations of authentic Taiwanese cuisine for lunch and dinner. The easiest options were FamilyMart, 7-11, MOS Burger, supermarkets, bakeries and the hotel breakfast. While we had a list of dozens of vegetarians eateries on Google Maps we only went to one. Many were closed on the days or times we wanted, they didn't seem worth the distance or the prices and menus weren't that attractive. We also went to the great Raohe Night Market and found a few veg snacks. There are quite a few night markets though in Kaohsiung, those are just the two most well known ones.
I was there during Dec to Jan in mainly shorts and t-shirt. Just be very careful when riding, as people tend to just take any possible gap and I've definitely had a few near misses. Lol uhhh Taiwan is pretty much all Mandarin speaking but don't worry you can still communicate....i'd probably hazard a guess that Japan is more English friendly especially at those kind of tourist attractions. It's a fairly small theme park although if you've done it before then yea no point going again.
Having to stand is common, particularly tourist routes outside the city like Yangmingshan, Jiufen and Pingxi. It's worth starting out early to avoid the crowds and secure a seat, especially on weekends. I didn't have time to visit Tainan but i did visit Kaohsiung for a short time. From what i remember Tainan has more of the old stuff, lots of old heritage buildings, lots of old temples, old fort, houses etc, museums etc. some famous salt field called Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Fields on the far outskirts. Even Xinyi district which i guess means between Taipei 101 and Taipei City Hall, that area on google maps.

There is E-DA Theme Park in kaohsiung though but not sure how good it is. Taoyuan MRT –  This is one way to move between TPE Airport and Taipei. The bus is cheaper than the MRT but you may risk getting caught in traffic. MRT costs NT$160 pp to go from the Airport to Taipei. The express has far fewer stops as well as place to put your luggage.
With a stay at Jinyou Hotel in Chishang, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Dapo Pond and Ikegami Natural History Museum. Once you find a table and flick through a restaurant or café menu, you'll realise that pork and chicken are a few ingredients commonly used  in local cooking. There's no better way to understand a destination than to literally take a bite out of it! You're invited to explore Taitung County by dining on some of its most tantalizing food and drink. Taitung sits 40 kilometres away from Chishang and is an important part of the local area.
